Sunday: Hülkenberg had a lot of fun at Force India
In the battle for almost the entire race with Romain Grosjean, Nico Hülkenberg admits he had a blast during the race and confesses that overtaking Grosjean and Hamilton brought a smile to his face. Less lively, Paul di Resta suffered from a poor strategic choice and his qualifications.

Nico Hülkenberg – 6th:
« This race was a lot of fun and it’s great to achieve this mega result. However, it wasn’t easy, and for a large part of the race, I had Romain [Grosjean]’s Lotus pushing with some great battles. Even the first stop was very tight with Romain, but the team did a great pit stop because it was important to stay ahead at that moment.
I think the best moment of the race was the battle with Lewis [Hamilton] and Romain in the last stint, when I passed both of them at turn four. They both went to the inside, so I just saw the opportunity to go to the outside and got the job done to overtake. It certainly brought a big smile to my face. So it’s a very positive day, a fantastic job from the whole team and a lot of positive things to take away as we approach our home race.
Paul di Resta – 12th:
« It was a difficult race in various ways and it’s fair to say that the outcome of qualifying greatly hampered us today. We expected the Super Softs to be better for the race, so we kept them for the second stint. As it happened, the Soft tires did not last long enough at the beginning of the race and when I switched to the Super Softs, they immediately started to grain. So we were not on the ideal strategy, and it impacted the whole race. After that, we always had to fight in traffic and couldn’t make progress. On the positive side, the car seemed competitive here with points on the board for Nico, but it’s just a bit frustrating that we couldn’t take advantage. »
