Yas Marina Circuit is equipped with a “Monza-style” podium
On the occasion of its 15th edition, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix takes the opportunity to modify its podium, reminiscent of the Temple of Speed.

On the F1 calendar since 2009, the Yas Marina Circuit will celebrate its 15th edition this weekend. On this occasion, the event organizers have decided to modify the podium, where the top three finishers will receive their trophies at the end of the race on Sunday.
F1 fans won’t have a hard time guessing where the inspiration for this new infrastructure comes from. Overlooking the start/finish straight, this new podium reminds us of the one at the Monza circuit, where the Italian Grand Prix takes place.
As can be seen below, a large 360-degree screen is located beneath the podium. It can be assumed that race-related information will be broadcasted during the Grand Prix, while the names of the top three will likely be displayed during the post-race ceremony.
It remains to be seen whether the public will be allowed to invade the track during the podium ceremony to create an atmosphere similar to that of Monza.
