Sunday: Sauber scores as many points as in Malaysia
Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez delivered an excellent team performance by finishing fifth and sixth, with the Mexican starting from 17th. Sauber thus scores 18 points in this German Grand Prix, the same as the podium achieved by Sergio Pérez in Malaysia.

Kamui Kobayashi – 4th:
I am very happy for the team that we managed to achieve a good result again. We were unlucky in the last two races and had a poor qualifying yesterday. The car is very competitive, especially in dry conditions. If we had qualified better, we could have done even better today. At the start of the race, it was a bit complicated with the Medium tires but our strategy was the right one. Considering where we came from, scoring 18 points is an excellent result.
Sergio Pérez – 6th:
I’m so happy for all of us that we managed to bounce back after such a poor qualifying. We showed very high pace during the race. However, my strategy was somewhat compromised because I had to make my first pit stop earlier than expected. I felt something strange on the left side of the car, maybe a puncture but I don’t know yet what it was. Obviously, it meant we had to extend the last run and I finished with quite old tires. The team did a great job today and this will give us a good boost with next week’s race in Budapest.
