Two additional grandstands for Austin

After two weeks of ticket sales, the new Austin circuit has experienced very high demand from spectators. That is why the organizers have decided to build two additional grandstands to increase the number of available seats.

Austin is therefore following the same approach as the one adopted at Silverstone, which rides on the success of the two British McLaren drivers and has also decided to build two additional grandstands. The Texan city can, for its part, capitalize on its proximity to the Mexican border, where F1 fans are even more numerous with the repeated podiums of Sergio Pérez.

Julie Loignon, the vice president in charge of public relations for the circuit, stated: “We continue to be impressed by the global interest from fans in our first Formula 1 race and have listened to our customers’ demand to increase the number of reserved seating options. Within a week, we sold out all the seating sections in turns 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, and 11 East. Our seating plan offers us the flexibility to make adjustments based on our customers’ demand, and we are delighted to offer new grandstands in areas with great views of the circuit.”

To ensure that this new Grand Prix is a success, the organizers of the Circuit of the Americas can rely on the expertise of a sports marketing reference, the agency KHP Consulting. The British agency is already working on events in South Korea and Abu Dhabi, as well as in a variety of high-level sports: NBA, PGA Tour, America’s Cup, Olympic Games…

Julie Loignon explained the agreement between the two organizations as follows: « The KHP team has shown that it is a key resource for our staff in preparing for our first United States Grand Prix. Inaugurating a new Grand Prix and preparing for the tens of thousands of fans and the national and international journalists who will attend a Formula 1 Grand Prix requires meticulous planning and execution. KHP has significant experience on which our management can rely, and its years of consulting experience with the F1 community will be very valuable to us as we quickly move towards our inauguration this fall. »

To enhance the appeal of the event, the organizers can rely on significant support from American Mario Andretti, a legend in motorsports worldwide. The 1978 F1 world champion has thus become an official ambassador for the circuit and the event.
