Friday: Toro Rosso adhered to their schedule
This Friday was expected to be a day partly disrupted by rain. It wasn't the case, and this allowed Toro Rosso to complete their entire program without any problems.

Jean-Eric Vergne – 16th and 19th
The day went smoothly, because despite the red flags and a few drops of rain, we managed to complete our program, doing a good number of laps. However, at the moment, we are a bit too slow and we need to work hard tonight to find some speed through the data. On long stints with more fuel, we were better than on our shorter outings. As for the track, I enjoyed this first contact, and it is definitely stimulating and exciting.
Daniel Ricciardo – 17th and 20th
We ran our usual Friday program, except we had a few new parts to try, including wings adapted specifically for this circuit, which requires the lowest downforce encountered this season. Apart from that, we also evaluated some exhaust modifications. It was a productive day, and we got lucky with the rain, which arrived just after the end of the second session. That’s a good thing, because the forecasts from now on are tending towards dry. The car ran without issues, so I was able to do a lot of laps. We can improve the balance, but we started off on the right foot, because even on a dirty track like this morning, the car was pretty good and the braking balance was correct. I expect tomorrow’s performance to be more representative of our true pace. Let’s hope we can qualify well and have a good weekend.
