Sutil will not be a tester for Pirelli
Adrian Sutil has not expressed interest in becoming a test driver for Pirelli's tire testing programs.

The German driver, whose contract with Force India was not renewed at the end of last season, expressed to Eurosport that he is currently waiting to find a sporting project.
The year 2011 was tumultuous for Adrian Sutil, who, despite good sports results, made headlines for his nightclub altercation with Eric Lux, one of the executives of the Lotus-Renault team.
This bad publicity surely cost the German his place as he was replaced this year by his compatriot Nico Hülkenberg, former reserve driver at Force India. Vijay Mallya, the head of the Indian team, even though he never admitted the link between Sutil’s affairs and his non-renewal of contract, made this radical decision in any case.
Since then, Sutil has not had the opportunity to return to Formula 1 competition with a new team. However, there have been several rumors of a possible collaboration between the driver and Pirelli, which is seeking talent to conduct tire testing. “That was never an option,” Sutil stated, before adding, “I have never been in direct contact with them.”
A position as a test driver within another team was then considered by the German and his entourage, but the current regulatory situation leaves him little room: « The fact that there are barely any tests, of course, makes this role quite useless. But I must remain hopeful. My only chance currently would be if one of the main drivers is let go and their seat becomes available. »
We indeed think about the rumor that circulated regarding a possible replacement during the season of Ferrari driver Felipe Massa. But that doesn’t seem to be relevant anymore, at least in the short term.
Sutil remains on standby: « My plan is to wait and see if there is an opportunity. If not, I would start seriously considering what I would do with my future, and in 2013. »
