If the team is naturally delighted with this new sponsor, their press release provides very few details about the nature of the agreement, not even where the British company’s logo will be placed.

The rationale provided by the UK2.net executives for this entry into F1 is that the team shares the same profile as its current clients, allowing it to increase its visibility among its commercial target audience. Martin Baker, the CEO of UK2.net, explains: « Our two companies are always looking to innovate and find technological breakthroughs, both on the track and in the boardroom. We are eager to work together to maximize the potential of both our companies. The Marussia F1 Team is similar to the start-ups we support: they have a young team with ambitious plans for the future. Our clients have similar aspirations, and we support them by providing first-class hosting solutions to complement their business. »

Nevertheless, this agreement is an extension of the previous agreement with VPS.net, one of the subsidiaries of the UK2 group. This subsidiary will have its logo on the single-seaters and suits of Timo Glock and Charles Pic during certain European events, which is the company’s core geographical target.
