Alan Jones: “The replacement of Trulli is obvious”
The replacement of Jarno Trulli by Vitaly Petrov at Caterham continues to generate comments. The latest person to speak out is Alan Jones.

The 1980 world champion is not known for beating around the bush. He also has a very strong opinion on the replacement of Jarno Trulli at Caterham by the Russian Vitaly Petrov.
What the concerned team describes as a realistic view of the global economic market, Alan Jones mainly thinks that the Italian was ousted due to a blatant lack of performance: Heikki Kovalainen destroyed Trulli in 2011. But I think anyone would have destroyed him, don’t you believe?
Moreover, Petrov brings funding that could reach nearly 12 million euros according to some sources, but Jones thinks this excuse has served Caterham well to part ways with an aging Trulli: « In my opinion, Trulli hadn’t done the job. As a result, the decision for Caterham to secure the services of a younger and more eager driver was rather easy to make. It’s also a fact that Petrov brings money. So for me, this replacement is obvious. »
