Ecclestone criticizes Williams’ organization
According to Bernie Ecclestone, the Austrian shareholder of Williams, Toto Wolff should have more control within the British team.

After a disastrous 2011 season, which was one of the worst since the team’s inception, Williams had to face several changes within its organization to try to turn things around.
The departure of engineer Sam Michaels and the gradual withdrawal of co-founder Patrick Head have been integral parts of these changes, as has the hiring of two pay drivers, Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna, as full-time drivers.
What appears to be a new beginning for Franck Williams is rather described by Bernie Ecclestone as a strategic misstep: The changes should have come from the top, not the bottom. I think personalities like Wolff should have more control in the team.
The team seems to be in a cost-saving strategy after losing several important sponsors, as seen on the new, very sparse livery of the 2012 car. The latter was presented without frills at the team’s garage exit during the first test day in Jerez.
