Restructuring within Enstone management
For 2012, Lotus F1 Team will honor Enstone by naming the new car E20, as the 20th constructed at the team's technical site. But for this new season, the management structure of the English factory has also been altered, bringing new members to the forefront.

Patrick Louis and Thomas Mayer will indeed be among the main executives of the new team, although they already had responsibilities in the staff in previous years. The first, a Luxembourger, has just been appointed Executive Director. The second, of Swiss nationality, has naturally succeeded to the position of Chief of Operations, which Patrick Louis held before his promotion.
This restructuring thus strengthens the foundations of the new British manufacturer and will allow the two men to work closely with the team manager, Eric Boullier, who has been in position since 2010.
« Our desire to return to the front of the grid is an ongoing process; we will leave nothing to chance to achieve this goal », admitted Gérard Lopez, director of Genii Capital and owner of the team.
He also added: « The collaboration between Patrick Louis and Eric Boullier has been a very valuable contribution for us for a long time. The recent appointment of Thomas Mayer as Chief Operations Officer can only be beneficial, allowing us to better focus our efforts.
Thomas has 15 years of experience with the team, which can be very useful. He is capable of leading large-scale operations while integrating logistical, organizational, and production data.
For this new championship starting in March, the team born from the ashes of Lotus Renault GP has set precise and ambitious goals for the coming years: Our efforts are primarily focused on the 2015 and 2016 seasons, for which we would like to be direct competitors for the title. We could thus complement the trophies won by Enstone in 1994, 1995, and more recently at the end of the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
