The Caterham CT-01 passed the FIA crash tests
Mike Gascoyne announced that the CT-01, the Caterham F1 team's single-seater for 2012, successfully passed the tests imposed by the FIA.

From now on, the single-seaters must pass all FIA crash tests before they can take part in winter testing. The Caterham F1 team’s single-seater has already successfully passed these tests while the first tests will only begin in early February 2012.
Today (Friday) our first chassis, CT-01, passed all FIA homologation tests. Congratulations to everyone, Mike Gascoyne shared on his Twitter feed.
The Caterham team (formerly Team Lotus) hopes to reach a new level in 2012, and designing its car quickly could help, because if the CT-01 has already passed the tests imposed by the FIA, it means a complete model has already been produced. For a team like Caterham F1, achieving this almost two months before the start of pre-season testing is a great accomplishment.
The information revealed by the technical manager of the Malaysian team also indicates that the CT-01 should, in all likelihood, be unveiled before the first winter tests, which will take place in Jerez from February 7 to 10, 2012.
