Sunday: Williams drivers focus only on the positive
Both starting from the back of the grid, the Williams drivers managed a strong comeback but it wasn't enough to finish in the points. Rubens Barrichello finished 12th and Pastor Maldonado 14th after receiving a penalty for ignoring blue flags – and a second 30-second penalty after the race. However, both men expressed satisfaction with their performances today.

Rubens Barrichello – 12th
«It was a good race, and a great effort from the team. We started from the back but I managed to work my way up and we almost finished in the points. We did a good job to finish in such a good position today. »
Pastor Maldonado – 14th
Our pace was a bit too slow at the beginning of the race but it improved afterwards when we put on the soft tires. Unfortunately, my penalty cost me a lot of time and potentially a better result. Our overall pace was better than recently and I was really happy with the car today.

« Rubens started from the last row and had a two-stop strategy, beginning on Mediums and then switching to Softs. Pastor had a one-stop strategy, also starting on Mediums. Both our drivers made good progress to move up, and by lap 13, Rubens and Pastor were in 14th and 15th. Rubens lost a bit of time during his first stop but continued to push hard to finally finish in a very solid 12th place—nearly catching Perez for 11th. Pastor received a drive-through penalty for ignoring blue flags and a 30-second penalty after the race for another infraction, which placed him in 14th. »
