Sunday: Sutil and di Resta score big points for Force India
The Force India team hopes to finish in sixth place in the constructors' championship this season, and that seems promising. Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta both managed to finish in the points in Abu Dhabi, while Force India's rivals struggled. The whole team therefore hopes to continue their momentum to finish the job in Brazil in two weeks.

Adrian Sutil – 8th
Today is a great result for the team and it’s what we needed. We initially thought of making only one stop during the race, but the team decided to change the strategy to two stops because the soft tires didn’t last as long as expected. So it was a good decision by the team to change that. I spent a lot of time in the race fighting with Schumacher and managed to overtake him during my second stint. But I probably stayed on track one lap too many, and he eventually managed to overtake me when we were both on medium tires towards the end. I was close to him, but we had similar pace, and I couldn’t pass him again. But we came here with the goal of scoring points with both cars, and that’s what we did. I think it puts us in a very good position for the final race.
Paul di Resta – 9th
I think as a team, we can be thrilled to have secured a double points finish with different strategies. In hindsight, my one-stop strategy wasn’t the best, but we felt it was worth the try. Starting on medium tires wasn’t ideal and the first 30 laps were tough. I had a good battle with Buemi in the opening laps and I think we were lucky he eventually had to retire as it made my race easier. Then when I switched to the softs, the car was really fast. Making only one stop and finishing in the points is what we hoped for. It’s what we needed for our championship fight, and hopefully, we can continue this momentum in Brazil.
Vijay Mallya – Director of the Sahara Force India team
We arrived here determined to achieve a good result and we are leaving with six important points to consolidate our 6th place in the constructors’ championship. Both our drivers had a flawless race, sharing strategies and finishing in the points. Therefore, I am delighted with our performance as a team, which gives us a 15-point advantage over our closest rival. I am confident that we can go to Brazil to finish the job and confirm our 6th place in the constructors’ championship.
