Pic has not yet signed in F1 for 2012
Contrary to what TF1 commentators said yesterday during the Indian Grand Prix, Charles Pic has not yet signed a contract for the 2012 season. The Frenchman is still in negotiations with several teams: Team Lotus, Virgin, and Williams.

Jean-Louis Moncet announced yesterday during the Indian Grand Prix that Charles Pic had signed with Virgin for 2012, but the information was quickly denied by his press officer. The Frenchman, who was racing in GP2 this season, is indeed in discussions with the British team but nothing has been signed yet.
And Virgin is not the only team with which negotiations are underway. Pic and Lagardere Unlimited, which supports him, are also in discussions with Team Lotus to possibly replace Jarno Trulli in 2012, and with Williams where Pic could replace Rubens Barrichello from 2012, and with Virgin where he could replace Jérôme d’Ambrosio.
As of today and at this moment, no agreement has been officialized concerning Charles Pic, who is under contract with Lagardère Unlimited and managed by Olivier Panis. Charles is still in contact with three teams – Lotus, Virgin, and Williams – each of which has certain advantages to bring a French driver back to F1!, said Muriel Belgy, the press officer of Charles Pic, to La Provence.
