Senna aims for points at the end of the season
Bruno Senna managed to finish in the points for the first time in his career at Monza during his return to F1 with the Lotus Renault team. The Brazilian appreciated this first, and for the moment only, experience and after several somewhat disappointing races, he hopes to bounce back this weekend in India to approach the end of the season with a positive momentum.

After starting with HRT last season, Senna experienced scoring points in Formula 1 only this season, in his second race with LRGP. The nephew of Ayrton Senna was chosen to replace Nick Heidfeld from the Belgian Grand Prix. In his second race in Italy, he managed to finish in 9th place, scoring his first points in Formula 1.
The following races weren’t as brilliant, particularly during the last race in South Korea. However, the Brazilian driver intends to bounce back and hopes to do so this weekend in India, a circuit that will be new to all the drivers on the grid.
I had some of my best races in Abu Dhabi and Brazil last year, so there’s no reason it can’t be the same this time, especially since I’m driving a competitive car that can score points. The goal is to keep learning, keep improving, and go to India with a clear mind after the frustration of the weekend in South Korea. I loved being able to finish in the points at Monza, and it’s something I want to do again. I have three races left to achieve that, confided Bruno Senna.
Beyond the desire to succeed by finishing in the top 10, the Brazilian will have to help the LRGP team maintain its 5th place in the Constructors’ Championship – even if the Force India threat seems less significant. He will also need to demonstrate his potential and talent in the last three races of the season, as his future in F1 is not yet secured for 2012, and what better way to give himself a chance to continue with a good F1 team than by delivering strong performances and finishing in the points!
