Barrichello hopes to be settled on his future in Brazil
Rubens Barrichello is not yet certain he will continue for another season with the Williams team - Romain Grosjean, Adrian Sutil, Charles Pic, and Giedo Van der Garde are rumored to replace the Brazilian, who is becoming less and less convincing within the team. But the record holder for the number of GPs raced hopes to have a decision by the end of the season.

Barrichello stated that his future with Williams should be decided by the Brazilian Grand Prix, the last round of the championship which will take place on November 27th. The Brazilian hopes that the British team will have made its decision by then – and the right decision for him is to retain him for an additional season.
Rubens Barrichello said, “I hope that before Brazil we will know. The fans need to know. Williams told me that they would like to make a decision before Brazil, so I hope it will be positive (for me).”
Even if he is not retained by Williams, Barrichello has other options to be in Formula 1 next year, but he primarily wants the opportunity to drive a competitive car and not just make up the numbers. The only possible options for the Brazilian veteran would be Force India, although this seems unlikely, or Lotus Renault GP, which might be tempted to recruit an experienced driver for 2012, but Senna and Grosjean still appear to be better positioned.
I think there are two or three opportunities that seem interesting. I am not going to race in Formula 1 at all costs, just to say I am there, ‘oh yes I raced for 20 years even if I don’t have a competitive car now.’ That’s not the point. The teams I’m talking to have the qualities to build a good car and succeed, added Barrichello.
The Brazilian could also bounce back in a smaller team, according to several rumors, notably HRT – since Team Lotus already has two drivers for 2012 and Virgin will likely take a pay driver alongside Timo Glock. But it remains to be seen if the Spanish team will actually be able to design a good car that could convince Barrichello.
