Puma partner of Mercedes GP starting in 2012
The Mercedes GP team announced on its website the signing of a partnership with the Puma brand, an agreement that will be effective from January 1, 2012. The equipment manufacturer has signed a multi-year agreement with the British team for the exclusive supply of clothing, shoes, and accessories that will be worn by Mercedes GP staff.

Mercedes GP team has announced in a statement that Puma will be joining them starting next season. Puma’s logos will appear notably on the W03 as well as on the clothing worn by all team members. Puma is not new to Formula 1 partnerships – the brand is already a partner of Scuderia Ferrari among others. Founded in 1948, the company will of course be in charge of distributing Mercedes GP licensed products worldwide thanks to this partnership.
«Puma has a long-standing history with motorsport that has brought a lot of success, and having previously worked with them in Formula 1, I know that their innovations for improved performance in racing apparel are among the best on the market, which is obviously a crucial element for us, » stated Ross Brawn in the press release published on the Mercedes GP team website.
« Puma’s expertise in designing, developing, and distributing licensed products for Silver Arrows fans worldwide is also something incredible. It’s a key partnership for Mercedes GP, and it’s one of those we are thrilled to have been able to conclude, » added Brawn.
