Denis Hauger, a 20-year-old Norwegian driver, will be competing for a second season in F2 with the MP Motorsport team. The Dutch team has officially confirmed this information on their X account. The driver, supported by the Red Bull academy, will be entering his third season in the F1 feeder series.

Denis Hauger’s junior career.

Denis Hauger began his single-seater career in 2018 at the age of 15 in the British F4 series. He finished fourth in the championship that season, with ten podiums in 30 races, including four victories. The following year, he competed in both the German and Italian F4 series with the Van Amersfoort Racing team. He won the Italian F4 championship title and finished as the runner-up in the German F4 championship. Hauger contested a total of 41 races across these two programs, securing 18 victories out of 26 podium finishes.

In 2020, he joined the FIA F3 with the Hitech GP team, but in 18 races, he only managed to step on the podium once and finished 17th in the championship. Denis Hauger repeated this category in 2021 and joined Prema Racing, with whom he achieved nine podiums, including four victories and the title.

Prema allows him to join F2 in 2021, but despite four podium finishes, including two wins in 28 races, the Norwegian only finishes tenth in the championship with 115 points. He joins the MP Motorsport team in 2022 where he is currently 8th in the championship with four podium finishes, two wins, and 102 points. The final F2 meeting will take place from November 24 to 26 in Abu Dhabi.
