The world of F1 rallies for Japan
Japan has experienced a long reconstruction in recent months after the catastrophic earthquake and a devastating tsunami. The world of Formula 1, passing through the land of the rising sun, has decided to mobilize to help the many victims of these disasters.

First and foremost, it was none other than Bernie Ecclestone himself who made a strong gesture towards the victims of Japan’s natural disasters.
The big financier of Formula 1 bought 3000 tickets for the Grand Prix, which he gifted to the victims. It is estimated that Bernie Ecclestone spent more than a million euros to carry out this operation, which is rather rare coming from a man who is said to be uncompromising in business when it comes to financing.
In addition to Ecclestone, specially edited portraits of Jenson Button, Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, and Fernando Alonso will be sold for the benefit of the Japanese populations most severely affected.
Additionally, Kamui Kobayashi, Jenson Button, and Vitantonio Liuzzi will race this weekend with specially decorated helmets.
The Italian design has a concept titled “Embracing Japan.” The base of the helmet is white, as a tribute to the Japanese flag, and there will be no excessive color, as a sign of purity and respect towards the Japanese people. A red circle, which symbolizes the rising sun, appears on the right and left sides of the helmet, and in the middle the inscription: “We are here with you” is engraved in gold.
After the event, Liuzzi will sign the helmet, the proceeds from the sale of which will then be donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
Button will also sell his specific helmet for this race to donate the proceeds to charities helping victims.
