The Sauber team raced with almost sponsor-less cars last season, but that is no longer the case since the start of this season, thanks in particular to the arrival of Sergio Perez – who is backed by Telmex. The Swiss team announced it has reached an agreement with a new partner for the Indian Grand Prix.

The logos of the company Amul, which is the largest milk brand in Asia, will appear on the Sauber C31 of Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez in India, specifically on the rear wing – in place of “Sauber F1 Team” – and also on the helmets of both team drivers.

«We are proud to announce this partnership with Amul, one of the leading brands in India. Amul products are present in almost every household. Having spent my childhood in Dehradun, India, I have fond memories of Amul products,» shared Monisha Kaltenborn, the director of the Sauber team in a statement.

This partnership is also a tremendous opportunity for the Indian company to promote itself internationally, and it may also help strengthen its position as a leader in Asia.

The vision of Amul to succeed through teamwork, technology, speed, and innovation aligns with the values of Formula 1. Technology has been our driving force for the last sixty years at Amul. […] The partnership with Sauber F1 for the Indian Grand Prix will strengthen the presence of the Amul brand and introduce it to the world,” said R S Sodhi, one of the officials of the federation for milk marketing for the Gujarat cooperative, in the statement released by Sauber.
