Flavio Briatore suggests Vettel not to join Ferrari
Flavio Briatore thinks that Sebastian Vettel should not join Scuderia Ferrari, even though he revealed several weeks ago that the Italian team interests him greatly. According to Briatore, the young German is not yet ready to take on such a role.

Flavio Briatore, ousted from Formula 1 since his responsibility was revealed in the crashgate scandal in Singapore in 2008, is still quick to give his opinion in the press, especially in recent months. And this time, he offers valuable advice to the reigning world champion, Sebastian Vettel: do not join Scuderia Ferrari.
Rumors have surfaced about possible discussions between Vettel and Ferrari, even though the German driver ultimately extended his contract with the Red Bull Racing team until the end of the 2014 season. And even though the German driver has always expressed satisfaction with his current situation at Red Bull, he has also not refrained from saying that driving for Ferrari would be a dream for him, continuing to fuel the rumors. But according to Flavio Briatore – former manager of the double Spanish world champion, Vettel is still too young to join the legendary Italian team.
«Ferrari is obviously a fascinating team, but he (Vettel) should go where he can win. At Ferrari, he would have greater responsibility as a driver and the pressure is therefore much higher. Fernando can handle it because he is already mature, » Flavio Briatore told AutoBild.
Briatore also believes that an Alonso-Vettel duo would not be a good thing for Scuderia Ferrari, even if such a pairing probably makes the team officials dream. The Italian thinks that such an association would weaken the team by splitting it in two.
