The president of Mercedes is disappointed
Dieter Zetsche, the president of Mercedes, is hardly satisfied with the German brand's performance in Formula 1.

The two main drivers, Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg, are not really critical about the power and reliability of the Mercedes engine. But the findings are evident. On a circuit where the power of the German engine should have allowed them to perform miracles, they only ranked 8th and 9th in the qualifying session, far from the leaders.
Dieter Zetsche highlights a very disappointing second season for the brand with the star, far from the ambitions set when the company took full control of Brawn GP at the end of 2009: « Things are not satisfactory for our second season in F1. The expected improvements have not been achieved, but we cannot force that. »
The Mercedes team is now fully focused on the 2012 season, and its boss emphasizes the imperative of the expected victory: « Formula 1 has a huge impact on all high-growth markets. We clearly cannot be satisfied with just being present; we must positively demonstrate that the brand is capable of winning. »
The pressure is on the engineers and the management of the sports team at the dawn of the 2012 season.
