The teams will have to dig into their wallets in 2024. The FIA has updated its sporting regulations, particularly regarding the entry fee for teams to participate in the Formula 1 World Championship. This increase amounts to 6.5% (compared to 7% in 2023), based on the U.S. Consumer Price Index.

The sum is of course not the same for each team. To register, the team must pay a proportional amount based on its position in the previous ranking as well as the number of points scored in the constructors’ ranking.

The largest amount for Red Bull.

The reigning World Constructors’ Champions, Red Bull, will have to pay a fixed fee of $657,837 ($622,000€), plus an additional $7,893 ($7,461€) for each point scored in the championship.

The other participating teams also pay $657,837, but only add $6,575 (€6,215) per point scored in the title race.

This amount must be paid no later than December 10, considering that the final ranking and the number of points will be known at the beginning of December.
