Friday: Quiet day for Red Bull
Constrained to conserve tires for Saturday and Sunday, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber had a studious but ultimately uneventful day.

Mark Webber – 16th and 1st
The weather was a bit changeable today – we had stints on the dry, but only for four laps: two laps with soft tires and two with mediums. Otherwise, we just did a general check, working on the ride height, brake balance, and all that before pushing the car to the limit. We need to get out and rack up some miles, but on the other hand, we have to preserve the tires for Saturday and Sunday. The curbs are the worst thing here when it rains: it makes the white lines as slippery as ice and it’s very easy to make a mistake ».
Sebastian Vettel – 4th and 10th
« It was quite difficult because the weather kept changing and it’s a shame that in wet conditions we only have one set of intermediate tires for the rest of the weekend if you decide to save tires for Saturday and Sunday. We were able to run a bit in the dry and try a few improvements; I think we worked well on those. It’s hard to judge lap times and overall pace today, but the car was fine. Let’s see what we can do tomorrow ».
