Aldo Costa definitively leaves Ferrari
The new responsibilities taken on by Aldo Costa within Ferrari do not seem to meet the expectations of the former technical director of the Scuderia. He has therefore agreed with the Maranello team to leave for good a team he joined in 1996.

Following the Spanish Grand Prix, which saw Fernando Alonso finish more than a lap behind Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton, Aldo Costa was forced to relinquish the technical reins of the prancing horse in order to take on new responsibilities within the company.
This situation has therefore only been temporary since the team confirmed today that the Italian engineer will be leaving the team permanently at the end of the 2011 season. Until then, he will be put on extended leave. It remains to be seen if (or rather which and when) a competing team will want to enlist the services of a man who has known all the technical intricacies of Ferrari for 15 years.
Now that Ferrari has returned to victory at the last British Grand Prix, thanks to Fernando Alonso, the Scuderia intends to definitively turn the page on the end of the 2010 season and the poor start of the 2011 season to focus on the future.
