Friday: Team Lotus expects progress tomorrow
A generally good Friday for the Malaysian team, despite a lack of pace.

Heikki Kovalainen – 19th and 18th
A fairly simple day for me. The car improved throughout both sessions and we worked on both types of tires. We have enough data to work on tonight and find where to gain speed for tomorrow.
Jarno Trulli – Non-participation and 19th
This was a good afternoon for me and I want to thank the team for the work they did today. We worked on some power steering options and I am quite happy with the second option. We completed a good number of laps and even though we don’t have much time to work on the setup possibilities, I think we are heading in the right direction and it will be interesting to see how we have progressed as of tomorrow.
Riad Asmat
« A good day for us but, obviously, it’s a shame that Karun’s morning was cut short. He will have other opportunities to train during the next FP1. This afternoon, we covered a lot of miles and, even though our pace should improve, I am happy with the overall performance of the whole team today ».
