Sunday: Regrets for the Performing Williams
Author of an excellent race in the middle of the top 10, Pastor Maldonado could not capitalize on this due to a collision with Lewis Hamilton. Rubens Barrichello, on the other hand, finished in the points. Williams confirms its return to form.

Rubens Barrichello – 9th
« Six laps from the end, I thought tenth place was the best possible result today. I finished ninth, but I wish it had been different and not at the expense of my teammate [Pastor Maldonado was involved in a collision with Lewis Hamilton]. We lost important points for the team, so it’s disappointing. I’m glad to have been spared by misfortune.
The safety car didn’t help us. Our one-stop strategy could have worked very well, but I couldn’t pit before it was deployed. There were positives and negatives today, the positive being that we were able to score some points.
Pastor Maldonado – Retirement
The final result was not what was expected, but the rest of the race was good. My pace was steady, but after the restart, Hamilton attempted a very ambitious move at the first corner and my race ended there. I am really disappointed not to be leaving with points today.

« It is a good result to score points. We were close to having more, but that’s the risk in Monaco. Pastor drove wonderfully all weekend; it’s such a shame his race ended in the barriers. The tires held up well throughout the afternoon, but it became clear that a two-stop strategy would be best for us. The two safety cars hurt us by costing both drivers time. On the other hand, we had no reliability issues, and we will continue development with an eye on Canada ».
