Kush Maini, F2 driver, joins Alpine’s development program
Kush Maini, young Formula 2 driver, joins the Alpine Academy and the BWT Alpine F1 team, having already secured a podium in Australia and a second place qualification in Silverstone. At 23 years old, he is living his dream of progressing to Formula 1 thanks to this great opportunity with Alpine.
Kush Maini, currently in Formula 2, joins the drivers of the Alpine team. He will receive help from the Alpine Academy and the BWT Alpine F1 team. He will be able to use the team’s facilities at Enstone, in England for his development and training.
Kush Maini is participating in his first season of FIA Formula 2 with the Campos Racing team. He achieved a third place in Australia and his best qualification in second place at Silverstone. At the age of 23, he joined the Alpine Academy quite late.

The Alpine driver academy includes promising drivers such as the Australian, Jack Doohan, reserve driver for BWT Alpine F1, and Victor Martins, champion of FIA Formula 3 in 2022. The two Alpine drivers in F2 currently occupy P4 and P5 in the championship, a weekend away from the end of the season. The academy has also trained current F1 drivers such as Zhou Guanyu and Oscar Piastri, as well as Olli Caldwell, who is currently racing for Alpine in endurance.
Julian Rouse, interim sports director of the Alpine team confirms the ambitions of the program: « He is a young talent in whom we believe a lot and who will be a valuable asset for our driver development program. »
