Spanish GP: Pit Stop Summary
Who was the fastest in the pits in Barcelona?

War is open in the pits between Mercedes GP and Red Bull Racing. While Nico Rosberg is the driver who lost the least amount of time in the pits with an average stop of 20.192 seconds and the best stop of the race at 19.534 seconds, it is indeed the Red Bull team that edges out Mercedes by a mere seven thousandths on the average of the two drivers’ pit stops: 20.260 seconds for Red Bull against 20.267 seconds for the star-branded team.
The Spanish Grand Prix was marked by a total of 77 pit stops. Seven drivers made four stops, and this was the strategy adopted by the front-running teams (with the exception of Mercedes and Lotus Renault GP) as four of the top five drivers in the final race standings were on this tactic, except for Jenson Button.
Note that, as in Turkey, Paul di Resta and Force India distinguished themselves in the pits with the 3rd best average stop at 20.256 seconds: the Scot was on a 3-stop strategy.
The Williams team, on the other hand, made costly mistakes during the pit stops of its two drivers.
