Very complicated home Grand Prix for Haas. While the American team was eagerly awaiting this leg to introduce a new package, the latter has so far not lived up to expectations.

With a 14th and a 16th place on the initial starting grid, saying that the progress of Gene Haas’s team is almost nil is an understatement. Even worse: the team has noticed an abnormally higher wear on the tires. Therefore, the team preferred to make major changes by breaking the Parc Fermé rule, which has the effect of sending its two drivers, Magnussen and Hülkenberg directly to the pit lane for the start of the Grand Prix.

Aston Martin in laboratory mode, Alonso returns to the old package

Another team in difficulty this weekend: Aston Martin. Indeed, the English team has been in constant decline since the start of the championship and even crossed a rather inglorious milestone on American soil. Indeed, for the first time this season, Fernando Alonso did not reach the Q3 stage, but it was even in Q1 that the Spaniard had to step down, offering the team’s first double elimination at this stage this year.

Struggling with McLaren for 4th place in the Constructors’ Championship, even as the Oranges are on a diametrically opposite momentum, Lawrence Stroll’s men had to respond. The British team has therefore also decided to break the Parc Fermé rule to make the various changes they wanted to make, namely: an adjustment of the settings with the new package for Stroll and a return to the Qatar version for Alonso.

This method will allow the stable to collect maximum data to better understand the behavior of its car with a view to the end of the Championship.

This news therefore makes some people happy on the grid since Daniel Ricciardo as well as the two Williams drivers thus move up respectively to the 14th, 15th and 16th rank.

The start of the Grand Prix will be given from 9:00 PM.
