For its first season as a partner of Red Bull, the clothing brand Pepe Jeans was able to enjoy a double world champion title. It has therefore decided to continue the adventure within an extended agreement.
Thus, the logo of the British brand will be present on the single-seaters, suits, and clothing of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. It thus retains its privileged position on the right quarter of the suit, the most visible part during interviews.
There is now a juxtaposition of clothing brands on the team’s uniforms as the shoes are entrusted to Geox, the safety equipment to Alpinestar, and the off-track clothing to Pepe Jeans.
The on-track success of its single-seaters now allows Red Bull to achieve an excellent financial operation: when results were not up to expectations, the Austrian team received very little television revenue (calculated based on the previous season’s standings), nor income from sponsorship (sponsors are generally less attracted to underperforming teams). The net investment from the energy drink was therefore much higher.
Now that revenues are much higher and the communication around the brand is much more flattering, it is all beneficial for the brand.
