While Hamilton expressed his concerns about the Red Bull and their power for the 2010 season, Ron Dennis reveals today that Red Bull might have some significant problems!

Indeed, during the last Grand Prix, Vettel reportedly (officially) experienced a spark plug issue on his Renault V8, which forced him to slow down. However, Ron Dennis reveals in the Journal AS that the problem could be much more serious:

« Lap times have dropped so quickly that one can imagine the electronic control unit (ECU) switching to a conservative program to save fuel. »

A quite conceivable theory, especially since Ron Dennis (who knows Red Bull’s designer Adrian Newey well, having worked alongside him at McLaren for a long time) suggests that the Red Bull monoposto has a slight design problem: « It could be a tank that’s too small, or the fuel consumption is higher than expected, » he concluded.

Red Bull not as magical as expected? This will surely be one of the key issues at next Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix.
