Belgium long hoped for its Belgian driver, but it must be acknowledged that Bertrand Baguette will not be starting in the Bahrain GP.

However, the winner of the 2009 World Series by Renault does not lose hope of securing a seat by the end of the season: “I will be in Bahrain next week to show my face to the team bosses.”

Baguette is indeed convinced that over the course of the season, a turnover will occur and seats will become available, allowing him to replace the dismissed driver.

« I am convinced that during the season, seats will become available. With my manager, Rick Gorne, I am working hard to secure a sufficient budget. »

Baguette keeps a dream of starting his career at Spa on August 29th for his home Grand Prix, however, if these plans do not work out, Baguette has already prepared a backup plan: « Ideally, I would like to start with the Belgian Grand Prix because F1 remains my priority, however, I have backup options which are the IndyCar series or Superleague Formula but I must stay in shape to be ready for F1 if an opportunity arises. »
