Lotus is back in Formula 1 after a 16-year absence. Everyone hopes that the changes will provide the team with strong leadership to meet the challenges of racing in Formula 1: « We have made this impossible dream a reality, the turning point of a team that becomes real, » stated S M Nasarudin.
« This was made possible through passion, hard work, and team spirit. With all the challenges we had to face to get here, we tackled these challenges as a team. We are now even more determined to finish what we started. We have realistic goals and in no way will it be easy, but the idea is there. We will systematically bring professionalism to each race this season. »
« As team owners, this role of deputy director further reflects our belief and ongoing commitment to this team. »
Fernandes added: « Our goals are clear, but as previously mentioned, there is still a tremendous task ahead. We have 19 races to complete and three people in management, we believe that this team has all the necessary resources to succeed. »
