Red Bull Racing is the latest team to unveil its new car as it just launched its RB6 from the Jerez circuit yesterday morning. The new creation by Adrian Newey seems to be a logical evolution of the RB5, which proved excellent in the second half of the 2009 season. Photographs of the car were released by Red Bull shortly before the launch in Jerez.
The car is equipped with a more pronounced pointed nose than last year’s, featuring very elaborate sidepods and a shark fin at the engine area. It also has highly developed wings. Furthermore, the RB6 has been entirely developed around the concept of a double diffuser, which was supposed to be incorporated on the RB5 mid-season last year.
Red Bull Racing had decided not to participate in the first tests of the season in Valencia last week in order to give themselves more development time for the new car.
