Anthony Davidson will continue to fulfill his role as a commentator for BBC Radio Five with comprehensive coverage of Formula 1. The British channel has announced that for the second consecutive year it will broadcast all the qualifying sessions and races live on BBC1. The practice sessions will be broadcast on cable, still with BBC, but also from the group’s website and radio.
Martin Brundle and Jonathan Legard remain the television commentators, with paddock presence ensured by Jake Humphrey, David Coulthard, and Eddie Jordan. Ted Kravitz and Lee Mackenzie will work as pit lane reporters.
Davidson as well as David Croft and reporter Holly Samos will provide the radio commentary: « We are delighted with how 2009 went and are very much looking forward to the first race of the 2010 season, » said Ben Gallop, head at the BBC.
« The BBC Sport team will once again provide extensive coverage, meaning F1 fans can follow the action live and interact, wherever they are and whenever they want. We are proud to offer our viewers and listeners the opportunity to follow and share all the excitement of this fantastic sport. »
The former Super Aguri driver, Anthony Davidson, had hoped to return to the F1 grid in 2010 with the arrival of new teams, but was unable to secure a seat. He was linked to the DTM championship, which does not conflict with F1 Grand Prix dates, following a test with Audi.
