Michael Schumacher took the number 3 car of Nico Rosberg at Mercedes GP for the upcoming season. The younger of the two Germans had been listed as number 3 on the FIA entry list before Schumacher came out of retirement, but Rosberg will reclaim the number 4 spot.

A spokesperson for the Mercedes GP team told Reuters: « Michael has a preference for odd numbers. He asked if he could have an odd number and we were happy to accept his request. »
This announcement indeed confirms the number 1 spot that Schumacher will occupy next year while Nico Rosberg was hired by the team well before. It is true that the seven world championship titles were all won in cars with an odd number. A sign?
