The German company Henkel and Brawn GP have settled their dispute. All claims will be dropped. Henkel earlier this month said that the 90 million euros contract, set by a former employee of the 2009 world champion team, was invalid. The case has been the subject of a legal dispute.
However, the team, which has been acquired by Mercedes-Benz, announced on Tuesday that the dispute had been settled on the basis of a mutual agreement: « Brawn GP announced today that the disputes between Henkel and the Brawn GP team itself, regarding a sponsorship deal, had been resolved with a mutual agreement, » the team announced in a statement.
« All requests will be removed. As a result, all legal proceedings will be withdrawn. The new Formula 1 team Mercedes GP Petronas, in collaboration with their colleagues from the former Formula 1 team Brawn GP, will continue to cooperate with the Prosecutor’s Office to help clarify the matter. »
