Virgin Racing announced that Alvaro Parente and Luiz Razia will be the test drivers for the new team starting from its first season in Formula 1 in 2010. The 25-year-old Portuguese joins the race drivers, Timo Glock and Lucas di Grassi, who was officially announced by Virgin Racing yesterday, Tuesday.
Parente competed in the GP2 Series in 2009, finishing in eighth position after winning the race at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium: « I will do my best to do a good job. It’s great to be with this team which will, I’m sure, experience a lot of success. »
The 20-year-old Brazilian, Razia, was also in GP2 in 2009: «It’s so exciting, it’s a dream to be part of a new team. »
