Sources have confirmed that Whitmarsh has been elected as the new president. He will take over from Di Montezemolo, who concludes his term at the end of the month after a year in office.
Red Bull Racing team principal, Christian Horner, has been appointed President of the Sport group, with Ross Brawn as chief delegate for technical work.
It is also understood that the unanimous approval of the teams has been given for the joint launch of the 13 single-seaters. This event will take place in Valencia, Spain, on the last weekend of January. The teams will now dedicate themselves to this launch in the coming weeks.
