DS Penske unveils its new single-seater for season 10 of Formula E
First team to unveil its new mount, DS Automobiles and its partner Penske Autosport have big ambitions for the new season that is coming up.

Just over two months after the end of season 9, the teams are currently preparing for the second year of Gen3, which will start on the 13th of January next year in Mexico.
The only French manufacturer present in FE, DS Automobiles, with its partner Penske Autosport, unveiled this Monday, October 9, the new livery of the DS E-TENSE FE23 which will participate in season 10 of the electric championship. Compared to last year, the gold and black colors are reversed, which enhances the brightness of the single-seater with the aim of making it more visible on the track.
Director of DS Performance, the competition department of DS Automobiles, Eugenio Franzetti says he is enthusiastic about the design of the new DS.
« As always, the moment of the livery reveal is very exciting because it represents the official start of a new adventure, a new challenge, a new season! So let’s start this season 10 with a new DS E-TENSE FE23 even more beautiful than last year! More beautiful and more visible because that’s also what motor sports is about. Indeed, we are here to give visibility to our brand DS Automobiles, to our partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT as well as to all our sponsors. »
As the regulations do not change between season 9 and season 10, particularly because the engines are approved for a period of 2 years, the teams have little room for maneuver to try to gain performance.
« We are working hard to ensure that in addition to being a beautiful car, the DS E-TENSE FE23 is also a fast car. The powertrain will be the same as the one from season 9 because there is no homologation change this year, but a lot of work has been done and we will continue to improve the software that manages it » Franzetti adds.
For the second consecutive year, DS Penske will align Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne at the wheel of its single-seaters. The sole double champion of the discipline in 2018 and 2019, the Frenchman continues the adventure in FE parallel to his commitment with Peugeot in WEC. Also engaged with the Lion brand in the World Endurance Championship, Vandoorne will be eager to reclaim the top spots after a season far from his expectations, him who was FE champion in season 8.
The first turns of the wheels of the new single-seaters will take place from October 24th to 27th for the official pre-season tests before the first ePrix in January 2024.
