Bruno Famin is taking his time to find a replacement for Otmar Szafnauer
Bruno Famin has been serving as the director of the Alpine team since August and the Dutch Grand Prix following the departures of Laurent Rossi, director of the Alpine brand, Alan Permane, sporting director, Otmar Szafnauer, team principal, and Pat Fry, technical director. He provided an update on the search for a new personality to lead the team.

The Enstone team has undergone significant changes in terms of management this year, with the departure of former team principal Otmar Szafnauer after the Belgian Grand Prix, as well as that of sporting director Alan Permane. Pat Fry has also left his position to take on the role of technical director at Williams.
These three departures occur only a few days after Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine, was sidelined and reassigned to “special projects,” according to L’Equipe. Laurent Rossi has since officially been removed from his management position within the F1 structure.
As part of the new structure, Bruno Famin took over the day-to-day operations of the F1 team on an interim basis.

As the team seeks to reorganize, Bruno Famin asserts that his objective is to establish harmony between his two factories in Enstone and Viry-Châtillon, rather than installing a permanent team leader.
« “I don’t have a deadline because I don’t want to be under pressure,” said Bruno Famin. « “For now, I’m evaluating everything, and I think the changes I’ve seen so far are quite good on the track. I’m very happy with the drivers, the work they’re doing, the spirit they have. Of course, now the most important thing is to see how we can achieve the same kind of spirit in the factories, and that’s really the point I’m focusing on. It’s not a matter of individuals today, it’s a matter of collaboration among all the people [in the factories].” »
We will have to wait a little longer before knowing the identity of the new team principal of the French team.
