However, the one who always clings to his 3rd place in the championship – he only has a 4-point lead over Lewis Hamilton – clearly explained after the race that Aston Martin had not made any mistakes. « We have a good strategy, good pit stops, we do not make big mistakes like some of our competitors [like] they did at the beginning of the year. »

In the battle with Ferrari in the constructors’ standings, the green team saw their rivals regain a substantial amount of points on a circuit that suited them much better. « I think that perhaps the car and its efficiency were not as good as they should have been on this type of circuit where drag is crucial, and it seems that this has been our weakness.
