The F2 ranking after the Netherlands: postponed match, all good for Pourchaire, still the leader
French driver Théo Pourchaire stays in the lead of the Formula 2 championship after a weekend where the favorites missed the mark.

A wasted opportunity in the Formula 2 World Championship race? After a chaotic weekend, the Frenchman Théo Pourchaire takes one step closer to the title as his main competitors, including himself, failed to score any points.
Let’s first recall that no driver scored any points after the sprint race on Saturday, following a massive crash involving Campos drivers Kush Maini and Ralph Boschung.
The pole position had been taken by Jack Crawford on Hitech on Saturday, after a crazy qualifying session marked by three red flags. In this context, the championship leader, Théo Pourchaire, could only set the 10th fastest time, which granted him pole position for the sprint race, but far behind his rival Frederik Vesti. The Danish driver from Prema started from third place. Finally, the French driver from Art Grand Prix was forced to retire after a spin, but he was able to retain his first position in the championship because Vesti also had to withdraw after losing both rear tires, which were improperly tightened by his team.
The safety car, deployed after Pourchaire’s accident, greatly helped his compatriot Clément Novalak to secure his first victory of the season at the wheel of his Trident and disrupted the race. Pourchaire’s closest pursuers, Vesti, Ayumu Iwasa (Dams, 13th), and Jack Doohan (Invicta, retired), also failed to score any points.
In the standings, the only member of the top 5 who is gaining ground is the Frenchman Victor Martins from Art Grand Prix, who earned two points by finishing 9th. There are only two Grand Prix left to determine the champion.
