The former Formula 1 world champion and triple DTM race winner Mika Häkkinen is in the process of divorcing Erja, his wife, after ten years of living together. Häkkinen’s manager, Didier Coton, has just announced it. The couple is separating on good terms.
The Finn retired as a Formula 1 driver in 2001 with the goal of spending more time with his family: his wife Erja and their two children, Hugo, five years old, and Julia, two years old. After a four-year break, he returned to the world of motorsports with a racing driver position in DTM with the Mercedes team.
He will have raced with her for three seasons and participated in 31 DTM races before retiring three months ago.
