The new Honda makes its debut in Valencia
Rubens Barrichello completed the first laps with the new Honda RA108 in Valencia, Spain this morning.

After a 2007 season far from all expectations, the team hopes that the new car will allow them to return to a level of performance that made them a threat to Ferrari and McLaren in 2006.
Honda Racing CEO Nick Fry stated at the end of last year: « We experience ups and downs over a very long season, which is inevitable. But I see no reason why we shouldn’t regain our level by the end of 2006. »
« It’s the same team at the staff level, with many more people, and the progress on the car seems promising. »
I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect that during the year 2008, we will be able to return to the 2006 level. We first need to regain confidence in the race in order to score points in the championship.
The car will be tested in Valencia at the same time as the other teams present in Spain, before its official launch at the Brackley factory, Honda’s temple, next Tuesday.
