Glock hopes to make a smashing comeback in F1

Timo Glock is convinced that it will take him little time to regain his sensations in F1, not having raced in a Grand Prix since 2004 with the Jordan team.

The German joined Toyota this year and is not afraid of having lost his place in the premier category of motorsports after a season spent in Champ Car and two in GP2.

« Even though I haven’t raced in F1 since 2004, I have participated in tests quite regularly, so I think it will take me very little time to get back to an acceptable level, » said Glock.

I have been fortunate enough to continue racing and participate in several championships throughout my career, but my goal has always been to become a full-time Formula 1 driver. I believe that my experience has made me stronger as a driver and as a person.

Glock set his sights on regular points finishes in 2008, and said he was not “worried” about the pressures of racing for a leading team manufacturer.

« I want to have as much success as possible this season. My goal is to be consistent and help the team progress. My first objective will be to score points as often as possible and I think we will be able to do it, » he added.

There is always pressure to become a good racing driver. When I joined Champ Car or GP2, there was pressure to prove to everyone that I deserved another chance in F1.

« I have therefore proven this by returning to F1 and now there is the pressure that I rightfully deserve my place. I am convinced of it and I will prove it this year. As a racing driver, you accept this kind of pressure and make sure it has no impact on you! » The German concluded.
