Nick de Vries won’t even have completed a half-season in Formula 1. The 2021 Formula E world champion was let go after only 10 races as a full-time driver for AlphaTauri.

In 10 races, the 28-year-old driver was largely dominated by his former paddock neighbor Yuki Tsunoda. In qualifying, the Japanese driver won the battle against his teammate 8-2. The race results were also in favor of the AlphaTauri driver, who is starting his 3rd season in F1.

The Dutchman is not in a hurry to return to the paddocks. « I have had a lot of support and it happened very naturally. I have played a lot of golf since », the driver told racingnews365 at the premiere of the Gran Turismo movie.

The former AlphaTauri driver will return to his studies, as [his counterpart Nicholas Latifi did](link to article). « I never studied before in my life, in fact, I didn’t even finish high school, but in September, I will be taking a course at Harvard on negotiations and leadership, a little bit of studying. Mostly because I enjoy it now that I have the time and the interest to learn other things », explained Nyck de Vries.
