Adrian Zaugg secured his third pole position of the season today after the two achieved two weeks ago in Zandvoort.

The South African indeed reiterated this afternoon by setting the best time for Race 1 – or Sprint – which will take place tomorrow at 11 in Brno, Czech Republic.

For the second race, the Endurance one, it was the Dutchman Jeroen Bleekemolen who set the fastest time in very autumnal conditions… He prevented South Africa from securing a 4th consecutive pole position by 2 hundredths.

Reminder: The qualifications consist of 4 parts, each 15 minutes long.

During the first two, the best time of the nation is recorded over the two quarters of an hour, allowing to determine their starting position on the Sprint race or race 1 grid.

During the last two sessions or qualifying, the best time of each nation over the two sessions determines its place in race 2 or endurance race.

Qualification 1, for the Sprint race: See the Results

Adrian Zaugg grabs his third consecutive pole position by setting a very high pace despite not having been excellent all weekend. He even takes the opportunity to record the absolute best time of the circuit with an A1 in 1:44.859.

The South African achieved his best time in the final seconds, while it was Johnny Reid who held the best time and also the circuit record.

The Netherlands sets the 5th fastest time, a good omen for the Dutch, while Portugal and Brazil surprise with the 8th and 9th fastest times.

France and Nicolas Lapierre complete the top 10, while the Czech Republic, despite being at home, is only second to last…

Qualification 2, for the Endurance Race: See the results

For this second part of qualifying, the Netherlands wins by 0.2 seconds ahead of South Africa. The Dutch driver was impressive in the second Endurance qualifying session and prevented Adrian Zaugg from securing a fourth consecutive pole position.

Robbie Kerr was also effective and takes the third position, ahead of Switzerland, which is used to being in the top 5. The 5th position is unexpected, as it is China that occupies this position.

Brazil is once again performing well today, with the 6th fastest time. Nicolas Lapierre just manages to sneak into the top 8, ahead of Germany in 9th. Canada, not having a good weekend, salvages something with the 10th position for the second race tomorrow.
