Race – Räikkönen wins in China, Hamilton OUT (2)

… It is even Hamilton who is quickly caught up by Räikkönen and after a big battle, where the hardest part was staying on the track, the Finnish driver manages to take the lead of the race!

Behind it’s impressive, we’re fighting for the 13th positions and the two Renaults beautifully encircle Rosberg on the straight, the two R27s managing to overtake the German, one on each side!

Twist at the 31st lap, Hamilton is in agony with his rear right tire completely worn out. The Englishman is driving on the rim and enters the pit very late. He misses the pit entry line and goes into the gravel trap! It’s over for the championship leader who loses all his lead in the championship!

Second dramatic turn of events in a row! Kubica, who took the lead thanks to his grooved tires, suffered a gearbox failure! Vettel is now in the lead but is overtaken by Button on the straight.

The rain is no longer expected and many drivers will have to refuel once again despite all their tire changes. Button is the fastest with Fisichella in 6th place, 16 laps from the end of a Grand Prix full of twists and turns yet again. Fisichella even sets the fastest lap in the race.

Fisichella pits with 15 laps to go. He finds himself behind Kovalainen in 11th position. Vettel is exceptional, managing his race in 4th position, ahead of Button, Liuzzi, who is holding off Heidfeld, Coulthard is 8th ahead of Kovalainen and Webber.

The Finnish driver from Renault slowly catches up to Coulthard, putting pressure on him until the very last lap but can’t overtake him for the 8th place. Just ahead, it’s the same battle between Liuzzi and Heidfeld for the 6th place, but the Toro Rosso is impressive and the Italian manages to keep the advantage.

It’s over for Räikkönen, he clinches his 14th victory and makes a comeback in the championship. The Toro Rossos achieved a historic race with Vettel in 4th position and Liuzzi in 6th place. The regular point scorers are far behind. The Renaults, Toyotas, and Williams are far back while it’s Button’s Honda that takes 5th place!

In the championship, Hamilton leads Alonso by 107 points to 103. Räikkönen is just behind with 100 points. Everything will be decided in Brazil in two weeks.
